Job Description Summary:

Krystal Biotech, Inc is seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Associate to join the team at South Side HQ. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for inventory management, warehouse management, shipping and receiving while providing general support to the manufacturing and laboratory teams. Their efforts contribute to the overall success of an organization by ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time and in the right quantity. Effective communication, attention to detail, and a good understanding of supply chain dynamics are essential skills for individuals in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and controlling the levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure an optimal balance between supply and demand
  • Changing of process gases and gas cylinder checks
  • Coordinating the ordering of materials to maintain sufficient stock levels while minimizing excess inventory
  • Overseeing the organization and layout of warehouses or storage facilities to ensure efficient material handling and retrieval
  • Strong documentation practices related to materials, including purchase orders, and shipping records
  • Working with quality control teams to ensure that materials meet established standards and specifications
  • Collaborating with production teams to ensure that the necessary materials are available to meet production schedules
  • Utilizing materials management ERP software and systems to track inventory, manage orders, and streamline processes
  • Ensuring that all materials management activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies
  • Receiving and inspect incoming shipments
  • Handling of biohazard waste and materials
Requirements & Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years relevant industry experience, or equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, experience in a GMP, GDP or lab setting a plus
  • Forklift and pallet jacks (manual and electric) experience a plus but not required. Training to be provided if necessary
  • Highly self-motivated, flexible, proactive, able to follow through in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment, and proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • A demonstrated understanding of inventory management and vendor maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with many different types of personalities at all levels of the organization
  • A demonstrated self-starter who regularly takes initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift 30 pounds in all directions
    • Occasionally moving (pushing/pulling) barrels up to 200 pounds with equipment to aid for safety
    • Occasionally work in temperatures that are 2-8° C and -20° C for our walk-in coolers with occasional reach into -80° C, and -190° C freezers. Proper safety equipment is required and provided
