Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Manager of Corporate Development to help plan, manage, and execute investor relations and business development activities at Krystal. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Development, the successful candidate will help shape Krystal’s overall communications strategy, coordinate investor engagement efforts, source and diligence new R&D opportunities, support partnership / alliance management efforts, and deliver on key projects and initiatives aligned with Krystal’s strategy, values, and priorities.
The successful candidate will be strong communicator with demonstrated scientific expertise and business acumen and will thrive in collaborative role working cross-functionally with leaders and stakeholders across the Krystal organization. Working knowledge of the biotech industry is required. The ideal candidate is an energetic, detail-oriented team player with excellent organizational skills and a can-do attitude who has a demonstrated ability and comfort level performing within a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Business Development
- Evaluate and analyze potential collaborations, licensing opportunities, new R&D opportunities, and acquisitions from scientific, financial, and strategic perspectives.
- Conduct and coordinate due diligence efforts on prospective transactions.
- Actively monitor competitor activities to inform the company's strategic positioning.
- Generate financial models as required to support pipeline planning and business development objectives.
- Support alliance management with existing and new Krystal distributor partners to optimize market penetration and ensure effective distribution of VYJUVEK.
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal Krystal stakeholders on strategic business development projects which may include pipeline planning, due diligence, and alliance management initiatives.
- Create and review senior management presentations summarizing strategic opportunities and financial analyses.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the strategic objectives of the company.
- Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive investor relations strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Monitor sell-side analyst reports and models, provide analysis and recommendations for communication and engagement.
- Oversee an active investor relations calendar, coordinating various events such as conferences, roadshows, KOL/R&D Day events, and investor calls.
- Prepare the executive team for investor engagements and accompany them if required.
- Draft press releases, annual and quarterly reports, earnings call materials (e.g. script, slides), and corporate presentations.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure alignment of external communication strategies across business development, R&D, commercial, and other business functions.
- Serve as liaison for inbound communications requests, including but not limited to media relations and investors. Respond appropriately to all requests and triage to appropriate internal personnel depending upon the nature of the request.
- Lead internal communications and business updates as part of employee engagement strategy.
- Maintain company website(s) and ensure alignment amongst all external communication channels.
- Actively monitor industry trends and collect stakeholder feedback to generate market intelligence insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business administration; PhD, MBA, or other advanced degree in a scientific area is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in life sciences research, drug development, or related field, either in academia or in a biopharmaceutical industry setting.
- 2+ years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, or investment banking, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Prior experience with financial databases, metrics, and corporate financial reporting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively interact with internal or external stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well presentation skills.
- Capable of managing shifting priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
